Farewells and new beginnings

Our final day in Kampong Cham was one of excitement and farewells, with many mixed emotions. The anticipation mounted all morning for our graduation ceremony in the afternoon. This was a beautifully moving ceremony with a few words spoken by a Cambodian teacher representative and an Australian teacher. Their thoughts summed up how all participants were feeling: a great deal of pride and success in what we’d all managed to achieve in just a number of days. It was sad to think of not seeing these lovely faces again, but it is very comforting knowing that the Cambodian teachers’ learning will be taken back to their communities and have great impact!

Leaving Kampong Cham was sad but exciting at the same time to think about what new adventures await us at our next destination, Siem Reap.

Signing off to get some rest before a dawn wake up call tomorrow. I know it’ll all be worth it…¬†
