Greetings from Phnom Penh

One day into our experience in Cambodia and it is hard to believe we only flew in yesterday evening. The vibrant sights and smells surrounded us immediately as we stepped out of the airport. The journey to the hotel an interesting and eye-opening view of traffic and road rules, or lack there of!!

Our first day on the ground was very busy – with a cycling tour for some and a city tour for others. Beautiful sights were experienced when cycling among outlying villages and also exploring the stunning royal palace in the city.

Despite our differing days, all participants were struck by the friendly and welcoming nature of the Khmer people, leaving us eager for more.

The workshops are on everyone’s minds and as we get ready to leave Phnom Penh we will be busy again preparing for the Kampong Cham leg of the journey.
