Cambodia countdown …

Only one week to go now before the start of the January 2013 Teach the Teacher program in Battambang and Siem Reap and we’re all fired-up and ready to go!  On this trip there are 14 participants: 10 on the teaching team and 4 on the projects team.

We start our program on Saturday 4th January in Phnom Penh with a cycle ride to outlying villages and a Mekong River boat trip at sunset. Then on Sunday we’ll visit Tuol Sleng Prison and the Killing Fields before travelling to Battambang by bus.  After visiting some schools supported by SeeBeyondBorders, we’ll be preparing for the start of the first week of teacher workshops (4 days) and finalising the projects team schedule.

Follow this blog to find out what happens next and to hear from everyone in the team. We’ll be taking it in turns to write a short daily blog and would love to hear from you, the  readers, via the comments section. Thanks for following our progress!

  1. and now am continuing as it was lost! Sending fond and warmest regards to the team in particular the dynamic and energetic Catriona Wood along with resourceful and equally dynamic mother Liz MacKintosh. I am confident that each See Beyond Borders team visit leaves a lasting impact on the professional standing of the Cambodian teachers and a rewarding and memorable time for the children with whom the team comes in contact. Your friends at the Rotary Club of Parramatta follow with pride and admiration the work undertaken by See Beyond Borders. Travel safely and well. Fond regards Christene McSeveny
